Kris Srikkanth Slams MS Dhoni Comments

CSK captain MS Dhoni made a comment in a post-match presentation after they lost in IPL 2020 against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi. Dhoni said that youngsters on CSK are not doing enough to get a place in the playing XI and his comment did not pleased former Indian player Kris Srikkanth, he slammed MS Dhoni for his comment and said it’s ‘ridiculous’. After the match, CSK captain Dhoni said “There were a few chances given to the youngsters. Maybe we didn’t see the kind of spark they could have given us to say ok, push the experienced guy, and make some space for them.”

Srikkanth said, he doesn’t agree with MS Dhoni’s process and if something is wrong, it’s the process of selection. He also added and said youngsters like Jagadeesan don’t have spark and scooter Jadhav has sparks, is it.

Srikkanth said this is ridiculous, and he’ll not accept his answer today and said just by talking about the process the whole IPL is getting over for Super Kings.

Kris did not look happy with the former Indian Captain and said they should have got the opportunity to play now, whatever left in the tournament now, the young players will get experience to deal with the pressure on them. Srikkanth was looking unhappy with Kedar Jadhav and Piyush Chawla and wanted to know what kind of sparks did they show.

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings has not done well in the current IPL and currently standing in the last position on the points table, CSK has played 10 matched and manage to win only 3 out of them, with 7 lost they have 6 points.

There are many questions raised on the decision taken by MS Dhoni and team selection after the lowest ever performance by the Chennai Super Kings in any season of the IPL. Many cricket experts have criticized the team management for playing with players who are not performing for CSK.

Chennai Super Kings will be playing in Sharjah on Oct 23, 2020 against one of the strong looking opponent Mumbai Indians. MI have won their 6 matches in the 9 games and holding number 3 position on the points table.
