Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first, Rajasthan’s top-order collapse, and opening batsman Buttler and captain smith got out after scoring just 22 and 5 runs, the inform Sanju Samson could score only 4 runs and became the first victim of Yuzvendra Chahal. Robin Uthappa failed again to perform and got out scoring just 17 runs in 22 balls, he was the second victim of Chahal. It was Rajasthan’s lower-order batsman Mahipal Lomror and Rahul Tewatia who took them to a respective total, Lomror scored 47 runs in 39 balls and Tewatia was not out and scored 24 runs in 12 balls. Rajasthan Royals scored 154 runs in 20 overs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore came out to bat with a target of 155 runs and they did not get a good start when opening batsman Finch did not last long and got out by scoring 8 runs. After the first wicket fall captain, Virat Kohli and young Padikkal took the charge of RCB batting and played the Royals bowlers carefully. Young Padikkal was looking very confident and scored his third half-century in the four games in this IPL, he got out on Archer after scoring 63 runs in 45 balls.
RCB captain Virat Kohli scored 72 not out and AB de Villiers scored 12 runs to take RCB in the top of the table. Yuzvendra Chahal was man of the match for his magnificent performance.
